Graphic Design/Mac Tech

During the early '90's, I bought a macintosh computer and started to freelance around NYC, eventually working for extended periods with Bell Atlantic, Price Waterhouse, Grey Advertising, Prentice Hall, Bozell Worldwide, and AVON Products, Inc. I was with Avon for five years, and during two of those years I was graphic artist for the AVON Skincare and Personal Care lines. While at Bozell, I worked on the Nokia, Got Milk, and NY Times 100th Anniversary campaigns, including scanning the NYT headlines used for the car cards on the entire Shuttle Train between Grand Central and Port Authority.

Relocating to the Boston, MA area in 1998, I spent 6.5 years with Pearson Technology as a Tech Support Specialist. I was the primary macintosh support for Pearson Custom Publishing, which grew over $170M during my time with them. This group today produces over 4000 custom books per year.

Moving once again, I settled in WI, just west of Milwaukee, where I work as a Sr. Production Designer for DIRECT SUPPLY, INC., the leader in the eldercare supply industry, serving over 20,000 facilities nationwide. In 2010, Direct Supply repurposed my Big Band Bonanza Sample CD to distribute it to over 19,000 elder communities nationwide, as well as many elder-specific trade shows. The CD won for graphic design of a unique product, and copy writing in the APEX Awards for Publication Excellence, an annual competition for publishers, editors, writers and designers who create print, Web, electronic and social media.

Photographer

As a photographer, I have been shooting since the mid-80's. My love affair with Maine started in NYC, when I first began trips to unwind in Maine's wide-open countryside. I shot lighthouses, ate lobster, and enjoyed the scenic beauty of this state. I believe it was here I found my passion for lighthouses, shooting over 120 of them throughout the US and Canada. I also found time to explore the wild side of Maine, finding seals, moose, and puffins along the way. I was fortunate to have Avon Products, Inc. use a Hawaiian shot of mine for their fragrance Seazone, which ran in their catalogs for almost three years.

During my travels as a musician, I shot photos around the world, from the Panama Canal to Paris, from the Grand Canyon to the Caribbean.

Musician

As a musical director and pianist for almost 20 years, I toured with Sugar Babies, Showboat, and CATS, performing and conducting in over 150 US and Canadian cities, including Hawaii. I spent four months in Germany and Switzerland as musical director for Little Shop of Horrors, which was based in Hamburg and Frankfurt, Germany, as well as St. Gallen, Switzerland.

As a musical supervisor for Holland America Cruise Lines, I visited the Panama Canal, and Eastern and Western Caribbean Islands.

I was an audition pianist and vocal coach in NYC, with clients on Broadway and in National Tours around the country. I was a singer-pianist for over 15 years, playing the NYC hotel and cabaret circuit. In the course of my musical career, I played for stars Sid Caesar, Imogene Cocoa, Eddie Bracken, Mimi Hines, Phil Ford, Herschel Bernardi, Theo Bikel, Fyvush Finkel, J.P. Morgan, Sheila MacRae, Lanie Kazan, and international cabaret artist Steve Ross.

Now located in West Allis, WI just outside of downtown Milwaukee, I am currently performing three 1-man shows: CHAMPAGNE FAVORITES: The Music of Lawrence Welk, BIG BAND BONANZA and HOLLYWOOD'S HEYDAY at eldercare communities in WI, IL, and AR. I have performed elder music shows over 75 times in the last 4 years.

I am currently organist/keyboardist at Luther Memorial Church in West Allis, WI, and a member of the Milwaukee American Guild of Organists.
